Additional Information
Attested in Rarotonga February 1918 and at Narrow Neck Military Training Camp Auckland New Zealand 12 March 1918. Disembarked from Port Lyttleton at Suez August 1918 and posted to the Rarotongan Company September 1918. On 3 November 1918 was admitted to the 33rd Hospital in Haifa with dysentery and then evacuated on the hospital ship Assaye 7 November 1918 to Alexandria and admitted to 87th General Hospital. Returned to New Zealand on SS Malta and discharged on 20 March 1919.
Cook Islands Death Register records date of death as 21/01/1945 which our research leads us to believe is incorrect and should be 21/11/1945 as per military headstone.
Cook Islands Roll of Honour board at RSA Nikao Rarotonga records his name as 'K. ARIA'.
