Additional Information
Enlisted 19 July 1916 at Narrow Neck Camp. Embarked on HMNZT No.67 Tofua in Auckland 14 October 1916 and disembarked at Plymouth, United Kingdom 29 March 1916. Posted to New Zealand Pioneer Battalion in France 28 February 1917. In late 1917 he was admitted to a number of medical facilities in United Kingdom and rejoined the New Zealand Māori (Pioneer) Battalion in France 26 April 1918. Transferred to Rarotongan Company and moved from Etaples to Marseille with Private Meredith and to Egypt 7 May 1918. Posted to Rarotongan Company 3 July 1918. Returning home was sick on SS Malta and was off-loaded for medical treatment and quarantine at Fremantle, Australia on 12 January 1919. Arrived in Auckland on SS Manuka 13 March 1919 and discharged 28 April 1919. Returned to Fiji May 1919.
