Additional Information
Enlisted 26 July 1917. Embarked Wellington 22 November 1917 and arrived United Kingdom and Sling Camp 7 January 1918. Posted to New Zealand Engineer Reserve Depot Boscombe 10 January 1918 and then to the New Zealand Base at Etaples, France 23 March 1918. Joined the New Zealand Pioneer Battalion 10 April 1918. Transferred to the Rarotongan Company 10 April 1918. On 15 June 1918 he sailed from Marseille to Egypt on HMT Manitou and joined the Rarotongan Company 2 July 1918. Contracted malaria 19 August 1918 and admitted to the 129th Field Ambulance. Embarked on SS Malta 14 December 1918 and discharged in New Zealand 7 March 1919.
