Additional information
Enlisted at Narrow Neck Military Training Camp 8 April 1916. Joined New Zealand Pioneer Battalion 30 October 1916 in France and WIA (Wonded in Action) with a GSW (Gun Shot Wound) to the leg 7 June 1917. Treated in hospitals in France and 2nd NZ General Hospital, United Kingdom. On return to the New Zealand Pioneer Battalion he was transferred to the Rarotongan Company 24 April 1918 and posted to 3rd New Zealand Depot Unit of Supply, Marseille, 29 April 1918 to await shipment to Egypt. Embarked for Egypt 5 June 1918 and posted to the Rarotongan Company 15 July 1918. Embarked for New Zealand on SS Malta 14 December 1918. Discharged 7 March 1919.
