The 5th Rarotongan Contingent soldiers from Aitutaki departed Rarotonga 12 January 1919 on the schooner Toafa Haamia bound for Aitutaki.

This soldiers record is online at Archives New Zealand which is very rare for the 5th Contingent as most Rarotongan 5th Contingent records were lost or destroyed post WWI.
