Enlisted in Rarotonga 28 October 1918. Disembarked in Wellington 6 November 1918. Due to the signing of the Armistice on November 11 1918, he was discharged 13 November at Trentham Military Training Camp. Embarked on SS Moana for Rarotonga 30 November 1918 and arrived in Rarotonga 6 December 1918.
The 5th Rarotongan Contingent soldiers from Aitutaki departed Rarotonga 12 January 1919 on the schooner Toafa Haamia bound for Aitutaki.
This soldiers record is online at Archives New Zealand which is very rare for the 5th Contingent as most Rarotongan 5th Contingent records were lost or destroyed post WWI.
