Enlisted 12 March 1918 at Narrow Neck Military Training Camp Auckland New Zealand . Admitted to 33rd Casualty Clearing Station at Jaffa 25 September 1918, then to the 27th General Hospital, Abbassia 2 October 1918 with adenitis in the neck. After embarkation on SS Malta was sick and remained in the ships hospital for the return voyage. Admitted to Trentham Camp and later Featherston Camp hospitals. Medical Board at Wellington on 11th of February 1919 indicated tuberculosis on both lungs. Died at Featherston Camp Hospital 14 August 1919.
