Enlisted 1 July 1916 in Rarotonga. Disembarked at Suez 24 December 1916. Posted to the NZ Mounted Rifle Brigade Training Regiment and Base Depot before being posted to the Rarotongan Company 7 April 1917.
Embarked on SS Malta for New Zealand at Suez 14 December 1918 and discharged 20 March 1919.
