Additional information
Enlisted in Rarotonga 25 September 1915 and embarked for Egypt on SS Navua 5 February 1916. Embarked for France 9 April 1916 as part of the New Zealand Pioneer Battalion. From 3 to 13 June 1916 he was admitted to the 7th General Hospital, St Omers, with measles and rejoined the battalion on 15 June 1916 at Armentieres. On 4 August 1916 he was admitted and was transferred from 2nd New Zealand Field Ambulance to the 2nd Australian Casualty Clearing Station, France. He died of pneumonia 15 August 1916 and is buried at Trois Arbres Cemetery, Steenwerck, France
