Disembarked at Suez 27 December 1916. Posted to the Rarotongan Company 7 April 1917. Attached to 10th Heavy Battery Royal Artillery from 5 October 1917 to 9 November 1917. Promoted to Sergeant 27 November 1917. Admitted to 129th Combined Field Ambulance 9 September 1918 with malaria and then on 15 September 1918 to 48th Stationary Hospital in Gaza with measles. Transferred to 44th Stationary Hospital Kantara 27 September 1918 and to the Military Infectious Hospital Heliopolis 12 October 1918 until 18 October 1918. Embarked on SS Malta 14 December 1918 and discharged 20 March 1919.
