Travelled from Samoa to New Zealand to enlist 15 February 1916 at Narrow Neck Military Training Camp Auckland New Zealand. Embarked at Wellington 6 May 1916 and arrived in Egypt 23 June 1916. Disembarked Southampton, United Kingdom 7 August 1916 and posted to the New Zealand Pioneer Battalion 27 September 1916. Transferred to the Rarotongan Company 14 January 1918 and arrived in Egypt 5 February 1918. Posted to the Rarotongan Company 5 March 1918 and returned to New Zealand on SS Malta. Discharged 10 March 1919.
