Additional information
Enlisted 12 March 1918, embarked at Wellington 13 June 1918 and disembarked Suez 3 August 1918. Admitted to the 2nd Australian Stationary Hospital, Moascar 4 December 1918 and diagnosed tubercular meningitis adenitis. Embarked on SS Malta for New Zealand 14 December 1918. When returning to New Zealand onboard SS Malta following the end of WWI, Private Rota ROTA died from tuberculous meningitis and was buried at sea that day.
