Additional Information
Enlisted 12 March 1918 and embarked for Egypt 13 June 1918. Disembarked at Suez and was posted to the Rarotongan Company 4 August 1918. Sick on board SS Malta on return to New Zealand and off-loaded for treatment and quarantine at Fremantle, Western Australia 12 January 1919 with serious influenza and pneumonia. Departed Sydney April 1919 for New Zealand and discharged 9 July 1919.
Cook Islands Roll of Honour board at RSA Nikao Rarotonga records his name as 'T. Aneru'.
