Attested in Rarotonga 4 February 1918 and enlisted at Narrow Neck Military Training Camp Auckland New Zealand 12 March 1918. Embarked in Wellington on the SS Manuka on 13 June 1918, and disembarked at Sydney 8 June 1918. Embarked on the SS Port Lyttleton in Sydney 24 June 1918 and disembarked at Suez, 4 August 1918. Posted to the Rarotongan Company 18 September 1918. Embarked for New Zealand on the SS Malta 14 December 1918. Embarked for Rarotonga on the SS Paloona 25 February 1919 and discharged 20 March 1919.
