Additional information
Enlisted 14 June 1918. Left Rarotonga, arriving in Auckland New Zealand 21 June 1918 for training at Narrow Neck Military Training Camp. Discharged 7 December 1918 due to the signing of the Armistice that ended WWI. Embarked on SS Paloona for Rarotonga, and arrived in Rarotonga 15 December 1918. Embarked on the SS Paloona for Rarotonga 7 December 1918 and disembarked at Rarotonga 15 December 1918.
Private Raka's son died 9 December 1918 in Aitutaki at the age of 2 1/2 years, six months after his father enlisted in the NZEF and two days after he was discharged.
