Discharged 20 March 1919. Ongokoreiti Teau/Atini Teauiti died of pneumonia 14 December 1919 only six months after his return from war service. He is buried in the Nikao cemetery in Rarotonga. He left behind his wife and four young children. His wife Ngatipi Teau Vaine was from the island of Aitutaki and she received her husband’s war medals 16 March 1930. Headstone records 'Aged 50' at the time of death however we do not believe this is correct.
